This winter has been really rough for me and my half marathon training. I usually try to run 3 times a week, but I’ve had two different bouts of bronchitis since October. Being unable to catch your breath is definitely a hindrance when you’re trying to improve your running pace. The day before my second round of bronchitis was diagnosed a friend at the gym recommended that I add apple cider vinegar to my daily routine. Apple cider vinegar is supposed to have multiple health benefits, including clearing a stuffy nose, soothing a sore throat, and boosting your energy. After having a cough that I couldn’t shake for over 2 months, I was willing to try anything. As I mentioned before I was diagnosed with bronchritis again the day after I shot this video, which means that I was placed on another round of steroids (a higher dose than the first round) and an antibiotic. So I can’t say 100% what role the apple cider vinegar played in my recovery. However, I am continuing to take it in case it does have health benefits. I can attest that it does get easier to take over time. I no longer wind up hunched over and coughing my lungs out. However, this video is to funny not to share.
