Workout video of the Week

This week I returned to Pilates after a short hiatus due to schedule changes. I’ve been doing pilates pretty reliably throughout my original weightloss and now my continuing fitness journey. I’ve found that pilates perfectly compliments all the heavy lifting, high intensity, and running workouts that make up the bulk of my training schedule. Having a strong core helps with all of these other activities, but all the stretching helps me to avoid injuries. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the one time I had to take a long break from pilates was also the time I suffered more injuries during my race training. So in honor of ,y return to weekly pilates classes, I feel like this is video is hands down my fitness video of the week: kneeling splits on the reformer.
