This video is from the strength circuit of our new XIT routine. It is a TRX push-up to a pike. Now this is a very difficult move, although I have had people tell me that I make it look easy. You have to really engage your core to not only do a push-up with your feet suspended, but then to pull up into the poke position. The workout only calls for 10 of these at a time, and it’s definitely a struggle to do them all consecutively. One thing I’ve decided to share more of on my blog is ways to modify some of these tougher moves for people who either are just beginning their fitness journey or don’t have access to some of the equipment that I’m lucky enough to have access to. After all it’s a little hard to do a TRX push-up or pile if you don’t have a TRX. So this second video shows a body weight (callisthenics) version that works the exact same muscles. I want to make sure that. I’m making my workouts accessible to anyone who would like to try them out.
