Boxing is super fun for me, because I love getting the chance to take my frustrations/stress out on the bag. But the class also involves some times when you’re not working the bag. Sometimes these times are used as a chance to catch your breath and sometimes we’re given an active rest exercise. Active rest can be anything from jogging in place to jumping jacks to the two moves shown in the videos above. Active rest moves are great because they keep yourblood flowing and keep your heart rate up. This means a more intense workout and higher calorie burn. Both of these videos show compound movements, but active rest does not have to be anything complicated
