Motivation Monday – jump rope for your heart 

I can’t be the only one who remembers doing the jump rope for your heart events in elementary school. I always loved getting to come up with jump rope choreography to a song. That being said, jump roping is an AWESOME form of cardio as an adult. It’s really gets your heart rate up quickly and involves a fair amount of coordination. You really have to concentrate to not trip on your rope. If you have access to a jump rope, I highly recommend you add it into your routine. Even just 30 seconds of straight jump roping will do wonders for your cardiovascular health.

Today we brought out the jump ropes as the warm-up to our boxing class. It was a great warm-up and really set the overall mood for the class. We did 2 rounds of regular jump roping and then did the more advanced criss cross jump roping. I am super proud that I was the only one who really nailed the harder moves.
