I’ve taken pilates for over 10 years now and it is an invaluable part of my weekly training. Through working on my core and flexibility, I am able to see more progress in my running and lifting with fewer injuries. If your core is strong, your whole body is stronger by default. And the more flexible you are, the less likely you are to suffer an injury. These videos are one variation of splits on the reformer. When I first did this exercise, I was barely able to move the carriage at all. It’s so neat for me to look at this video and see how far I’ve come. And to know that all the other PRs I’ve mad with regards to lifting are due to my continued commitment to pilates.
