Planks are a phenomenal ab workout as long as you have good form. They’re great cause they are very easy to modify to different levels and can be built on over time. In this video, the goal was to hold a plank for 30 seconds. You can actually see me check the clock a couple of times. I chose to do a full plank resting on my elbows, but could have chosen to do it with fully extended arms or even on my knees with my arms extended. Again as long as you maintain good form, any of these options are acceptable. I find that switching it up can help me maintain good form instead of pushing through with bad form. The most important thing is to engage your abs while keeping your butt low. Too many times people have too much of a curve to their spine instead of maintaining a flat back. I’m glad I captured my whole plank as I think it really shows how much I had to concentrate to achieve my goal. I feel like you can see my upper body shaking and love that my final collapse has been immortalized.
