Motivation Monday- jump right back into your routine

Today was my first day back to the gym after 5 whole days without working out. I was out of town spending the Thanksgiving holiday with family, and my husband encouraged me to let my body just rest during our vacation. I will admit that I was edgy not getting my endorphin rushes from exercising, but I can tell the difference in my body. Even better my heart rates were higher than normal during today’s workout, which shows that my little reset had some advantages as well. I’m hoping to see higher calorie burns all well, although today my watch lost the training session stats. But it felt so good to get my blood flowing again and get a good sweat on. I jumped right back into my normal routine as it will help me get back on track after my holiday hiatus. This is a great example of how keeping a very regimented training schedule can be helpful to maintaining your commitment. I knew exactly what my first workout back would be, and all I had to do was show up. To keep with the jumping right in theme, here’s a video of me jump roping during this morning’s boxing class.
