So this week, I took a small tumble down the stairs a couple of hours before my weekly XIT class. While I took a pretty good chunk out of my right hand, I was able to make it through class without too much trouble. The next morning, however, I woke up feeling every spot where my body hit the stairs. I still showed up for my leg day workout p, but decided to focus on lighter weights with more reps. I even added a significant pause before completing the rep. It was so nice to mix it up a little and I think it actually helped to workout some of the sore spots in my legs. Lifting like this helps to work the muscles in a different way and is a great alternative when you’re feeling particularly sore.
