Whenever you’re lifting it’s important to do everything you can to avoid potential injuries. I’ve noticed that many people don’t tend to focus on having proper form. It’s amazing the number of people in the gym who don’t do exercises correctly. For me one of the easiest corrections in any exercise is proper grip. If you’re not holding the bar correctly, it’s much easier have bad form. In this video, my hands were too close together when I started which severely limited my range of motion. Within the first couple of reps, I could tell it was off and so I adjusted my grip to get a fuller range of motion. I’ve found that my body usually lets me know of something is off in my form. The second something hurts or feels wrong I immediately adjust till it feels better. And I think that’s why I’m able to avoid injury despite some of the crazy complicated or super heavy things that I attempt in the gym.
