I’ve never been a fan of doing a million crunches like some people. It’s not only incredibly boring, but eventually your body gets used to the repetitive motions making it a waste,of effort. I much prefer finding different ways to work the abs without having to do a crunch. Both of these videos primarily target the obliques, or side abdominal muscles, which are not really utilized in a traditional sit-up or crunch anyways. The first video is a compound exercise starting with a pike, or downward dog position, and flowing into a Spider-Man push-up. This move utilizes your whole core to flow from one movement into the next and to maintain your balance while pulling your knee towards your upper body. The second video is a KB arc crunch. It primarily targets the obliques when you crunch at the bottom of each arc. My abs were definitely feeling it after these two moves and it was much more fun than just doing a couple hundred crunches.
