Today’s kettlebell class was a little different than our normal three round very kettlebell-centric class. Not only was the class only 2 longer rounds (20 & 25 minutes respectively), but the second round was completely TRX based. TRX is a great tool to allow you to do more work on balance. The first video I’ve shared shows jumping lunges. You place one foot into the TRX strap and use that to help you maintain your balance while jumping from a lunge position. You have to hold your core tight to keep your balance. This move really gives you a full body workout.
I only did 10 reps on each leg, but had to shake out my legs between sides and take a short break when I was done with both. This exercise is very high difficulty level and should be treated as such.

The second video is mountain climbers, which is a pretty standard move in any type of group workout class. By placing both your feet into the TRX straps, you take away the stability that is inherent to mountain climbers. You also can’t use your toes to help push your feet forwards, so the leg movements become completely reliant upon your core.
This move is definitely easier than the jumping lunges, but also involves much more concentration than typical mountain climbers
