Fitness Friday- burpees (or what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger)

So I had two different exercises that included harder variations of burpees. As if burpees are not miserable enough, someone had to find a way to make them more torturous. While I have come a long way towards finding peace with burpees, I do cringe a little when I see them listed in a workout. The first video is a ball slam burpee, which involves completing a ball slam before each burpee and for added difficulty keeping your hand on the medicine ball while executing the burpee. That last part can be left out to make this exercise more accessible to people who don’t love a challenge as much as I do. The second video is side to side burpees, which involves a jump to the side after each burpee. For both of these I only had to do 10 reps and both made my heart rate jump up to cardio levels. As much as I hate burpees, I’ve come to love them as well because they really help push up my overall workout calorie burn.
