One of the most challenging moves from last week’s new XIT workout was the TRX atomic push-ups. You put your feet into the straps which makes you engage your core to remain stable. Then you use your abs to pull up into a pike position followed immediately by a push-up. It’s these two moves back to back that makes it an atomic push-up. This move works not only your arms but also your abs.
Adding the TRX bands into the mix definitely makes the whole move more challenging, it’s completely possible to achieve the same movement without the TRX bands if you don’t have access to them
You’re still working your arms and abs but you don’t have to worry so much about keeping your balance.
