I’m pretty I’ve done more jump squats and plyo lunges than the average person does in a lifetime, so both of these moves are pretty standard for me at this point. This was the first time, however, that I’ve done either move prisoner style with my hands behind my head. Now it doesn’t sound like that would make a big difference, but it was pretty challenging. I often use my arms to help create counterbalance with moves that require a little more balance. When you take that form of counterbalance out of the equation, you have to concentrate that much more on form. Unless your form is solid, there is no way to perform either of these moves without falling over. I’m eager to try this technique out on some other exercises to challenge myself a little bit more. Always have to keep improving.
