Up until now, we’ve mainly only used knees when that’s focus move on a particular bag or if we choose to add knees in on the boxer’s choice bag. I’m a great fan of kneeing personally, so they frequently appear when I get to choose my combinations. This bag was one of the first time kneeing was part of a more complicated set combination. As you can see, I tried to not hold onto the bag my first time through and quickly discovered that you need to use your hands to really land a solid knee strike. It’s so fun to get to add in new moves into our choreographed combinations, because it shows how all of these moves can really work together if you were to ever have to utilize them. One of the things I love most about boxing is the fact that I can use what I’m learning practically if the situation ever arises.
