I feel like many people take for granted just how amazing our bodies can be, and I’ll admit that I still sometime catch myself amazed by what I see when I watch back my workout videos. Not only is my technique improving over time, but I can see differences in my body over time. Maybe it’s that I’m a little less jiggly or I can better see the muscles that I’m utilizing at any given moment, but it’s important to see things from a different angle or even a different speed. Some of my favorite workout videos are the accidental slow motion videos, because they really let me see just how my whole body works together. In the following video, I was thrilled to see that all three levels of my right kick made it into the video. I love that you can see my glute tense up each time my foot is about to leave the group again. Even though the main impact on the bag comes from my shin and foot, the act of kicking really utilizes my whole lower body. I could watch this video all day.
