Fitness Friday- making moves harder by removing stability

Doing any move with your feet in the TRX straps involves more of an emphasis on your core strength, as you can see in the video above with side tucks. It’s a lot harder to not have your feet swing wildly while returning to the neutral position even when your hands are solidly on the ground. Today I got to attempt to do this already difficult move while balancing on a medicine ball as well.

As you can see, it was much harder to maintain any semblance of stability even with only one hand on top of the medicine ball. It will take a lot more practice before I can perform this move with both hands on top of the medicine ball as intended. That’s what I love about working out though. There’s always a new way to push yourself a little bit harder whether it’s upping your weight or taking away you stability. There is always room to grow.
