I’m sure I’ve mentioned that I despise burpees on this blog before. They were always used as a punishment when I played rugby and just have a negative connotation for me still. I have come to terms with them more recently, especially as I’ve been introduced to different kinds of burpees. Today, I was introduced to a whole new type of burpees involving TRX bands. I’ve done single leg burpees before, but never with one foot in a TRX. Interestingly enough, this made it both easier and harder to keep my balance. When doing the burpees, the strap provided extra stability. It was definitely more challenging to return to a standing position. As this was my first time doing this exercise, I’m proud of myself for powering through but it’s definitely not pretty. It was, however, an amazing cardiovascular challenge and I look forward to improving my form.
