Motivation Monday- when sickness strikes

I didn’t get in as many workouts last week as I normally do, which is odd for me. I had been sick since before New Years with what I thought was allergies, but found out was the early stages of bronchitis. Now I had full blown bronchitis twice last last winter, which resulted in me missing more than 2 weeks of workouts each time due to my inability to breathe. So as soon as I realized I had had the same cough for over a week, I figured it was time to make sure it wasn’t anything serious. I thankfully caught it early enough not to miss two much gym time. I was too exhausted on Wednesday to make it to my normal XIT workout and actually was unable to do any workout at all. By Friday, I felt well enough to attempt it and let me tell you- that class KICKED my ass. I made it through the whole class and proceeded to take a 2 hour nap that afternoon and was EXHAUSTED the next day. So clearly I still wasn’t at 100% yet. I decided to take one more rest day on Saturday, and Sunday was able to complete three rounds of Tabata. I’m hopeful that this week will be back to normal for me with respect to working out, but will be listening to my body and not pushing harder than it can take.

There was a lot of fun bosu work, which really made me happy. So even though this workout kicked my butt, I did have fun doing it when all was said and done.
