I’m on my final week of the 30 day weight loss challenge at my gym. I never thought I would sign up for one of these challenges as I never wanted to lose weight to make other people healthy. Due to my recent diagnosis of diabetes, however, I’ve had to make some major diet changes to maintain my health. I’ve got two little ones and my risk of a heart attack goes up 50% if I don’t manage my diabetes. Since I was going to b losing weight anyways, I figure why not sign up for the challenge. I won’t be out anything if I don’t win and if I do win that would be awesome. Since I will be weighing out on Saturday, I’m going to try to do two workouts everyday from now till then. I am doing my normal morning workouts and adding in a Tabata treadmill workout in the afternoon. Today was my first day of the double workout, and I can already tell I will be sleeping well tonight. I’m interested to see what doubling up on workouts will do for my progress.
