I decided to squeeze in some lifting after my 4 rounds of Tabata on Sunday. We’ve got a small selection of free weights in our basement and a bench. I decided to work on my bench press, but wanted to try something new as well. My husband suggested I try a shoulder press using our bar. I’ve never done shoulder press with a full barbell before, but didn’t want to just press the bar. So I put on two of our low weight plates, which meant I was pressing 65#. It definitely felt different to shoulder press with the bigger bar, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I did 3 sets of 10 reps, and am feeling this move in my shoulders today. I’m eager to add this to my routine and see how heavy I can get. So glad my husband recommended it.
