Motivation Monday- take a spin

I had the opportunity to take a XIT class with an instructor I’ve never worked with before last week due to an unexpected illness. I was unable to go to my normal Tuesday class, so I decided to try out the Wednesday class instead. I expected it to be the same instructor, but was surprised to find an instructor that I had never met. She had us do three seperate circuits, which included a cardio aspect followed by strength work. We used the treadmill and rower like always, but added in some time on the spin bike.

Now I’m not a huge fan of the spin bike as my butt really hurts if I spend more than 15 minutes on the seat. They’re just so narrow and uncomfortable. Only spending 2 or 3 minutes at a time and then getting off to do exercises on the step made the spin bike much more manageable for me. This is why I love having the opportunity to work with different instructors. Each person brings their own special finesse to a workout and it’s fun to challenge yourself in new ways. I’ve also found that each instructor’s personality motivates me in completely different ways. So even doing the exact same workout with a different instructor completely changes how I do that workout.
