Fast feet is a great cardio blast that can be added into any workout to boost your calorie burn. It’s also easy to step it up a little more by adding drops or jumps into the mix. Our boxing instructor loves to make us drop on command. As I’ve gotten more in shape, I really enjoy dropping to the ground. While I used to drop into a burpee, now I drop fully to the ground. This does result in some interesting bruises on my legs, but there is something so satisfying about hitting the ground full force. This is probably the closest I’ve found to the feeling I used to get while tackling an opponent in rugby. The only way not to hurt yourself is to commit completely to the drop. It becomes something that your body just knows how to do instead of something you have to put a lot of thought into. This was how tackling was for me when I played rugby and I haven’t really found anything else that gives me the same physical impact until now.
