Videos like this one just don’t happen as much for me anymore. I’ve spent so much time doing all the various exercises over and over again that I honestly don’t even need to think about what I’m doing half the time. But that doesn’t mean I always do everything perfectly. I try to post videos showing proper form, so I may not post the 8 seconds where I tried a heavier weight and found that my form suffered. This video is unique, because I had someone else shooting it for me. She actually stopped filming right after I fell so I could get a proper video. I would have been totally fine having this be part of the video I eventually posted to showcase this move along with the remaining reps where I didn’t slip on my own sweat. There are always a number of factors that impact your workout, and part of the battle is pushing through any roadblocks that you encounter. I could have very easily just decided to give up on this move that I’ve done dozens (if not hundreds) of times at this point, but instead I laughed at myself and tried again. Even with all my years of working out, things are very rarely perfect and that’s ok. I just keep going and try again.
