Stress lifting- even better than stress eating

Why I love boxing: 1. great cardio- my heart rate got up to 165 bpm during today’s session. That’s equivalent to a fast sprint. Since you’re constantly moving, it’s very easy to get your heart rate up and then maintain it 2. It’s the  perfect way to relieve stress- you can take out any frustration or stress you have on the bag and you don’t have to worry about being hit back. As an ex-rugby player, I miss the aggression release that I got from playing rugby. But I don’t miss the concussions or serious injuries, so boxing class is a happy medium. 3. The moves I learn in boxing can be used as a form of defense. As a woman, I feel it is important to know how to defend yourself if the need arises. While I would never start a fight, I feel confident that I could hold my own if I had to.
