I'm a sucker for anything that has fun details "hidden" in the back. While the color and pattern of this shirt caught my eye immediately, it was the back that made it something I HAD to have. I've always had Continue Reading »

Welcome to the inaugural Fashion Flashback Friday! Every Friday, I will choose my favorite outfit from the previous week and explain why it was my favorite. I put a lot of thought into every outfit I wear, so I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts process with you all. This week, I’ve decided to do my favorite outfits from the last two weeks in able to share my awesome outfit from March 5th. So without further ado, here are my two favorite outfits from the last two weeks.

For the week of February 27- March 5, I chose the outfit that I wore to Saved by the Max. Saved by the Max is a pop-up Saved by the Bell themed restaurant in downtown Chicago. I was a HUGE fan of the show growing up, so I was super excited to score some tickets to this restaurant. It was decorated so it loomed exactly like The Max from the show, and the menu was made up of Saved by the Bell themed food option, like Snow White and the Seven Dorks (chicken wings), AC sliders, and Mac & Screech to name a few. I ordered a drink called the “I’m so excited,” which made my night. Since I was so excited about this evening out, I wanted to make sure I had THE perfect outfit.
Fortuitously about 3 weeks before my reservation, I saw these LuLaRoe leggings and immediately thought of the opening credit of the show. The shapes and colors just screamed Saved by the Bell to me. I claimed them and then saw this gorgeous jacquard classic tee in the same shop. At that point, I just thought it was a gorgeous shirt and it didn’t even cross my mind to pair these two pieces together. When my package arrived, I eagerly ripped it open and as soon as I saw my Saved by the Bell leggings next to this top I knew I had to wear them together. I really could not be happier with how this outfit came together, so I’m including a second photo to commemorate this great night.

For the week of March 6-12, my outfit of the week also involved LuLaRoe leggings. I’m obsessed with all the super fun patterns that they come up with. This time, however, I paired ,y leggings with one of my favorite long sleeve activewear tops from Lane Bryant. While I love the idea of a long sleeve workout top, I overhear far too easily to wear them for most of my actual workouts. So most of my long sleeved workout tops just serve as everyday tops for me. They’re usually lightweight and breathable, so I love to wear them everywhere go. They also tend to incorporate mesh in one way or another, so that’s another huge plus in my eyes. I love to incorporate different fabrics and textures into my outfits so mesh is always a welcome addition. This particular top is the most fabulous shade of pink, so I used it to compliment the pink elements in these super fun and colorful paisley/floral leggings. This is definitely not an outfit for anyone looking to fade into the background. As an extreme extrovert, this outfit really makes me feel like I would stand out in any crowd, which makes my heart oh so happy.
